A look back at the Renaissance Faire costumes I’ve created over the years! Each piece a chance to experiment with new techniques, unusual fabrics, and storytelling through clothing. I focus on sewing with simple, history-inspired techniques which allows me to learn about how people got dressed historically!

September 2024 - Straying from my usual corset + skirt combo, I went dark this year and kept it fairly simple. I upcycled a sweater to make a hood that went over my purple wig. The rest of the costume is thrifted!

August 2023 - In this costume, I used a bed sheet for the gathered skirt, curtains for the corset with ribbon details for the lace-up closure and shoulder straps. Always a matching fan in hand!

October 2022 - I used thrifted tablecloths, flannel long sleeve shirts, and leather scraps that were donated to me to make a drawstring skirt and lace-up corset.

Watch this video to see how I made the leather-scrap corset!

October 2021 - I used pink sheer fabric and brocade curtains to make the gathered skirt. The corset was made from the same materials to match. It's a lace-up style in the front, and I added binding to close the edges.
